This is something I have thought long and hard about, and to be honest I’m still not sure how I feel about it. There have been several requests and enquiries about setting up a Patreon account, or something to that effect.
Two things – Firstly, in the same vein as Kickstarter and other such crowdfunding platforms, I’m not really interested in setting up yet another account with a middle-man corporation who take a continuous cut of artists work in exchange for basically just building a website.
Secondly, I think that promising regular ‘content’ to subscribers at different levels of payment is a quick way of diminishing the level of quality, and creates a pressure to constantly pump out shite just to keep subscribers. I still think it’s better to focus on bigger long term projects.
So, all of the plans below are completely non-reward based subscriptions, there are no extras, bonus features or gated content for ‘patrons’, any additional content I make will still be available to everyone for free.
PATRONAGE £5 PER MONTH
Almost a pint of beer per month, hugely appreciated
PATRONAGE £10 PER MONTH
This is fantastic and massively humbling
PATRONAGE £30 PER MONTH
Astoundingly generous of you, infinite thanks
PATRONAGE £100 PER MONTH
What are you nuts? This would be ridiculously amazing but I’m still not promising anything other than solid gold bangers that everyone else can hear for free. Thank you!!!
ONE OFF CONTRIBUTION
YOU CHOOSE THE AMOUNT
The equivalent of patreon’s ‘buy me a coffee’ but with the option of upping the amount to the effect of ‘buy me a speedboat’
Many thanks again for your support,
